Hello, my name is Liz. I’m a Hipstamatic Addict. And I live in Salem, Ma.

Hip Salem is the result of a happy accident. On one of my frequent walks around town I began taking photos while experimenting with the different lenses and films available in the Hipstamatic app. And before I knew it, I had a pretty good collection of photos.

Anyone who lives or has visited knows that Salem is a unique place. The many attractions, different people and the richness of history lends itself to great photo opportunities. Combine that with the distinctiveness of Hipstamatic prints and you got some kick-ass photos! So that’s why I’m launching this unique photo sharing site dedicated to the Witch City!

What is Hipstamatic?
Hipstamatic is a phone app that harkens back to the often unpredictable and fun results that came from toy cameras. Cheap plastic molded camera bodies that leaked light onto the film often resulted in something amazing. Hipstamatic prints can bring out the inner art-nerd you always wanted to be. Each print has a unique and often lovely look to them. No real photography skills necessary!

And so I invite you, fellow Hipstamatic and Salem lovers, to share your photos here for myself and others to enjoy. You don’t have to be a photographic genius. You just have to love your Hipstamatic and the Witch City, like me!
